As a Mortgage Loan Originator, you are the primary engine of our growth. This role is designed for professionals who want the “Freedom of Movement” to run their business like an entrepreneur while backed by an experienced processing team.

What Success Looks Like: Success in this position is defined by your ability to leverage our extensive wholesale channel to provide tailored solutions for diverse borrower profiles. This role is built for someone who thrives when given total autonomy and a massive toolkit of loan products.

2. Responsibilities

  • Analyze Financial Profiles: Evaluate the creditworthiness and financial backgrounds of prospective borrowers to determine the best-suited loan products, ensuring all recommendations align with current regulatory requirements.
  • Navigate Wholesale Channels: Utilize our expansive network of wholesale lenders to price and lock loans, identifying the most competitive rates and terms available in the market for each specific scenario.
  • Consultative Sales: Educate borrowers on a wide array of specialized programs, such as ITIN, FHA, VA, and DSCR loans, helping them understand the long-term financial impact of their mortgage choices.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all loan applications are complete and accurate, adhering to federal and state regulations (RESPA, TILA, etc.) to maintain the integrity of the brokerage’s licensing and reputation.
  • Business Development: Develop and maintain a professional network of referral partners to ensure a consistent flow of high-quality leads.

3. Qualifications

  • Licensing: Active NMLS registration is required (Florida-specific licensure preferred).
  • Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of experience in mortgage loan origination within a brokerage environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong familiarity with (Loan Origination Systems to manage digital files and automate workflows.
  • Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of standard agency products (FHA, VA, Conventional) as well as non-QM and niche products like ITIN or DSCR.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in an accessible manner.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong mathematical and analytical skills used to calculate debt-to-income ratios and evaluate asset verification documents.
